Book of Golden Deeds

Volunteers and their efforts are very important to Bellevue and we strive to recognize those that give back to their community. The Book of Golden Deeds Award, The National Exchange Club’s longest running project, recognizes dedicated volunteers who give both their time and talents toward making their communities better places to live.

The Bellevue Exchange Club is pleased to announce Bellevue's latest recipient, Bruce and Dottie Mosher.

Bruce and Dottie moved  to River Plantation Thanksgiving week in 1996.  Previously they lived in Englewood, NJ and both worked in NYC.  Bruce worked for United Methodist Communications and Dottie worked for the National Council of Churches.  They have three sons, one teaches in Brooklyn, NY, one in Des Moines, IA (where we lived in the late '50's) and one in Richmond, VA.  For about 10 years Bruce operated a production company producing programs for cable television.  They first lived in Nashville in the early 60's and then came back in 1992 for a year as volunteers at Scarritt Bennett Center.  They liked Nashville so much then that they decided to move here for the rest of their lives.

If you've driven down Sawyer Brown Road in River Plantation in the morning, you've probably seen Bruce and Dottie picking up trash on their morning walks! Unfortunately, they say, they've never been on a walk where they didn't have to pick up trash. Our thanks to Bruce and Dottie for their continuing contribution to keeping Bellevue beautiful!

If you know someone who should be recognized for their volunteer contributions, please contact the Bellevue Exchange Club.
